Valerio Adami is an Italian artist knows for his Nouvelle Figuration movement. Adami began to incorporate various subjects into his artworks such as modern European history, literature, philosophy, and mythology. This image portrays a man, carrying a woman most probably and looking up at a mountain, getting ready to climb its rocky peak, perhaps a metaphor on life itself.
