Che piange (eng. Who cries). Original aquarelle, 1993.
Živko Marušić is a Slovenian artist, born in Italy. He is best-known for his figurative paintings, graphics and sculptures. His artworks are products of thoroughly exploring and recreating events from his life and his perception of those events. Human figure is always in the center of his attention and most of his creations feature just one person with his current look in a moment of Marušić’s attention and with his emotions caught on the face at that moment. This composition has a dreamy atmosphere, the crying creature seems to be standing in some fields. The technique Marušić used here gave a tearful appearance to the whole composition.
