Golf. Original color lithograph, unknown year.
Daniele Fissore was a great Italian self-taught artist. He is know as the artist of greenery and seas, as well as telephone booths, picnics and heroes of the Risorgimento. His graphics and paintings inspired by the photography, made him known even outside Italy, but above all he is known for the “golf courses” and for the portraits (especially from the Heroes of the Risorgimento). This graphic is deeply inspired by photography and depicts exploring the emotions of the landscape using unevenness of the green ground in contrast to the blue sky. The human figure looks small and fuzzy compared to the spacious landscape, but the proportions are exact.
