Valerio Adami is an Italian artist knows for his Nouvelle Figuration movement. Adami began to incorporate various subjects into his artworks such as modern European history, literature, philosophy, and mythology. You can see a presentation of Ovidi’s Metamorphoses. This is a scene when Diana – the goddess of hunters and chastity, changes Actaeon – the hunter, from a man into a deer, because he couldn’t take his eyes from her beauty and nudes. It looks like they are dancing, but if you take a look at his legs, you can see hoofs behind.
