Emilio Greco is one of the greatest sculptors, engravers and medallist of modern time. He is best known for his monumental bronze sculptures of the human figure. The sculptures and figures in graphics, primarily female nudes and portraits, tended to be refined, with elongated forms in the Italian Mannerist tradition. “I’ve never been tired of the human figure in art. I have nothing against abstract art, in fact I am somewhat keen on it, but for me the figurative and human ideal prevails.”- Greco. Ragazze is the study of the woman’s character.
