Živko Marušić is a Slovenian artist, born in Italy. He is best-known for his figurative paintings, graphics and sculptures. His artworks are products of thoroughly exploring and recreating events from his life and his perception of those events. Human figure is always in the center of his attention and most of his creations feature just one person with his current look in a moment of Marušić’s attention and with his emotions caught on the face at that moment. His figures mostly seem dynamic or in motion. In every culture the Sun means life and in some religions is related to God. We can see here a human figure who is holding the Sun, which can be interpreted as him or her holding a life in their hands.
